"So," Kelliana said quietly, not looking at JC. "That's your decision, then?"

"You have a right to know."

"Joshua," she said but she stopped. "Are you sure that's what you want? That it's the right decision?" Her brows came together. "This could be a bad mistake."

"I know," he admitted. "This could be the worst decision I've ever made, but something is telling me that this is what I need to do."

He looked up at her, his dance partner, and wrapped strong arms tightly around her when she hugged him, relief slowly flowing through his body.

"This is quite a shock, JC." Kevin stared at him, unsure of what to say as he looked at his prized dancer. "I was certain you weren't going to follow this path."

"It feels right," JC said simply. "Kevin, you're like a second father to me. It won't be that easy to let me go," he let an impish grin come out and Kevin couldn't help but laugh.

"I hope you're right JC," and this time, JC let himself be wrapped up in arms that were much stronger than his.

JC stood in Lance's office with a small smile on his face. Their hands met in a firm handshake and Lance handed JC a folder. "It was nice doing business with you, JC."

"Yes, it was," JC said and right before he turned to leave, he couldn't help but notice the hint of sadness laced into the curve of Lance's smile.
